Kilinochchi cataract operations Programme
There were 98 cataract operations took place in Kilinochchi hospital on 26th July. Surgeries were performed by Dr J D Dias Consultant Eye Surgeon TH Batticaloa. The event was funded by Karai Welfare Society UK, and facilitated by Assist RR, UK,and Enlightenment Circle, UK.
This occasion was graced by Dr Paitha Mahipala DGHS & NFP of Vision 2020. Mr Sri Skandarajah represented Assist RR at this occasion. Operations were started early in the morning and and all the cases (98) were completed by the late evening. Photos attached below;
