Karainagar Valanthalai Junction bus stand was formally opened for the public by the president of Karai Abiviruththi Sabai and Chief Engineer of Road Development Authority on 22nd April 2012.
The building was named in honour of the former Secretary of Karai Abiviruththi Sabai Mr Jeyasingam Thiliambalavanar who passed away in 2008 during his service as KSA secretary. Mr Thaiyambalvanr served as Secretory of KAS from 2004 to 2008. He was a visionary leader who made significant contributions throughout his 4 years of service.
Karai Welfare Society (UK) funded £6000 towards this project. Here are a few photos taken during the construction and completion of the building.
